Here is a fantastic Star Sapphire! This stone is an extremely deep blue color which appears black in the body with needles of bright multi-color Rutile oriented diagonally across the stone. The majority of the Rutile is yellow, but there are flashes of green and red when moved. These Rutile needles produce the star effect in the Sapphire. The star is sharp and well defined. This stone would be excellent for a ring center stone, and especially for a man’s ring. The star is visible in normal light conditions, and is sharp under a pen light. This stone is so pretty in hand and is excellent out in direct sunlight. Enjoy!
