Here is a fantastic Ruby Gem! This is a natural Ruby from Madagascar and has not been treated. This stone has slight chatoyancy but so faint it is difficult to see a star pattern in it. The overall effect causes the stone to flash beautifully in the light. It has a nice red color with only slight hints of pink/purple. It is over 2 carats, which is a fantastic size for the center stone of a ring! Ruby is the red version of Corundum; all other colors are called Sapphire.
