This is an amazing Dragon Garnet gem! Dragon Garnet is a trade name for a special material from Tanzania. It is a color shifting, strongly fluorescent, chromium and vanadium bearing, Malaya Garnet. The color shift is from bright pink in incandescent to peach pink in daylight. Under a UV light the stone has a strong bright red fluorenes. It has a silky appearance from the presence on micro Rutile needle inclusions. These Rutile crystal give the stone a glitter chatoyant effect that is stunning. This stone is natural and untreated!
