Here is an absolutely fabulous Zircon! This gem has a gorgeous peach color with bright orange highlights. The clarity of the stone is excellent and flashes beautifully in the hand. The gem is a beautiful arrowhead shape and has been fantasy carved in the pavilion to create a radiant pattern. You can see the classic birefringence (facet doubling) that Zircon displays in the photos. Zircon has a bad rap because it is often confused by many as cubic zirconia. However, Zircon is a natural mineral and chemically is zirconium orthosilicate. This stone is just waiting to be set into jewelry.
