This is a large, natural and beautiful Kunzite gem! Kunzite was discovered and named after George Kunz who was one of the greatest mineralogists of the early 20th century. Kunzite was discovery as a new variety of Spodumene around 1902. In 1910, Kunz discovery a new Pink Beryl and named it Morganite, after J.P Morgan. This stone is spectacular in hand! It is nice big stone being 18.51 carats, which is a fantastic size for a piece of jewelry. Kunzite is an underappreciated and fairly rare gemstone. It is durable enough for daily wear in jewelry. This stone would make an exception cocktail ring, or a brilliant pendant. Enjoy!
